Special taproom release (Friday, July 14th) of A Cider of Ice and Fire…a drink fit for the seven kingdoms.
We love ourselves some George R.R. Martin and since we are pre-releasing #DragonsAreReal to prep for the Game Of Thrones premiere on Sunday, July 16th, we thought we would bring you even more to celebrate! The Cider of Ice and Fire (coined from A Song of Ice and Fire, duh) was made by Ethan MacWilliams, one of the trusty, bearded, mead makers here. (Check out more on Ethan – HERE) He had taken 40 gallons of frozen apple cider in which yielded the tiny 10 gallons that we have, then he thought, “hey, how can I amp this up” (in true B. Nektar fashion) and tossed it into some 8 gallon Motor City Gas whiskey barrels to age for a couple of months.
Coming in at 11.5% – The Cider of Ice and Fire
Tapping takes place on Friday, July 14th at 5pm. Pours are only available as this one was just too small to bottle. And let’s be honest, if we bottled it, well, the staff would buy them all and drink it.
